QUIRK DESIGNS

Preston Quirk

Since 1992, Quirk Designs architectural firm has been contributing to the built environment of Middle Tennessee with thoughtfully crafted plans for beautiful new homes, renovated older homes, and a wide range of commercial projects.

Preston Quirk is known for his high level of personal service and his attention to detail.  Owners of new and renovated homes designed by the firm repeatedly refer their friends who desire a beautiful and functional home of their own.

For projects in historic neighborhoods, builders and homeowners alike seek Preston’s services because of his proven skill at capturing the essence of an era to make new or renovated structures look like they belong with their surroundings, while the interior design supports today’s style of living.

Preston enjoys working with clients who prefer a contemporary look.  Quirk Designs has designed a number of upscale townhouse developments, including The Brownstones at First and Church in Franklin, West End Close, and within the Acklen Park neighborhood off West End in Nashville. His list of completed projects includes waterfront vacation homes as far away as Vermont and Florida.

Preston Quirk graduated with honors from the University of Tennessee School of Architecture.  Preston currently lives and works from home in a 1920’s craftsman-style bungalow in the historic Hillsboro-West End neighborhood with his wife, Joyce.  He enjoys spending his free time on anything with motors and wheels - from racing go-karts, dirt bikes, motorcycles, and cars, to early morning bike rides nearly every single day of the week.

Quirk Designs celebrated 25 years of business in 2017, and Preston has been semi-retired since 2018, but continues to work on projects he loves. If the project’s concept is stellar and interesting, he’s happy to consider. Preston is currently working on a spec house in West Meade of Nashville, which hopes to be on the market Spring of 2022.
